A descendant of a distinguished Valluvanadu Kalaripayattu family and a direct disciple of Padmashri SRD Prasad Gurukkal, he is skilled in Vadakkan, Thekkan, and central Kalaripayattu styles, holding a 3rd Dan Black Belt and a national championship title (2015). He is also pursuing a doctorate in traditional Kalaripayattu and Marma treatments. In Karate, he holds a 7th Dan Black Belt (Seishin Ryu, Japan), is a national coach and referee, and was a national and international champion in Kumite and Kata (1996, 1998). Additionally, he holds an MSc in Yoga and Naturopathy and is a trainer at PACE Yoga Center, Bangalore.
